The letter you never sent.
UnsaidX exists for the sentences you've rehearsed in your head for months, sometimes years. The ones that never made it past your teeth.
You write to someone you already know. They open it. They read it once. Then it dissolves — from their screen, from our servers, from everywhere. No trail. No going back.
You stay anonymous. They never know it's you. Recipients can't see your handle, your email, or any identifier. Even our staff cannot link a letter back to you unless it is formally reported for a safety reason. Distance is what makes the truth possible.
How it works
- 1. Pick a feeling — from playful to closure.
- 2. Write up to 140 characters. Brevity is the point.
- 3. Seal & send. You have a 60-second undo window to recall it.
- 4. They get one read. They can let it dissolve, or hold it once for up to 24 hours. Then the letter is gone.
Who it's for
UnsaidX is for anyone old enough to write to their own conscience. The law asks us to set a number, so the floor is 13 — but the real bar is being able to hold your own words with awareness, own what you're about to say, and choose not to send if it would hurt. Teenagers, twenty-somethings, parents, grandparents — feelings don't have an age, only a conscience does.
What UnsaidX isn't
UnsaidX is not a counsellor, therapist, crisis line, or emergency service. The Companion is a private writing companion, not professional advice. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a trained human — the Help page lists free, confidential lines that answer 24/7.
